Question by : What motivates you to study and excel in School and Learning?
In this question I’ll give two choices, and I’m curious as to which prevails.
In school, (I’m in College) what motivates you to keep going? Is it 1: Self improvement and awareness of life, or 2: want for a more financially successful future?

So I’m curious of it’s more of a financial thing or more of an abstract, better yourself kind of thing.

For me I’m not doing it for a more financially successful future, as I’m not concerned with money passed the point of having enough for the necessities.

2: want for a more financially successful future?: NO. maybe.

Self-improvement, money comes & goes, my happiness of knowing, hey! I worked really hard studying, I’m studding and working, something that my friends are not, makes me feel proud of myself and independent, my friends look up at me for how far i have done/come.

Question by bushmechanic: What is the difference between learning disability and mental health problem?
I want to study mental health at university but my friends think leaning disability is better, what are advantages of studying mental health?

Best answer:

Answer by Rosiekins
Learning disability is a branch of mental health in general. I’d go with Mental Health if it were me. Learning disabilities can be studied further in the field once taken in the general direction. If you choose just learning disabilities then you are focused mainly on a certain part of the brain rather than the entire brain function. I think it really boils down to what you want to do professionally o_o

Question by : Are mental health problems and learning disabilites taking over the world or is it just getting noticed?
It appears that more and more peeps everywhere are developing all sorts of mental health problems and learning disorders. Why is this so? Is science just discovering how many peeps’ are having issues like this or is it actually growing and becoming a problem?

Best answer:

Answer by Cicely
It’s just that these things are noticed more. There’s a lot more awareness thanks to the Internet, and schools are better about screening for various issues and providing services. Also, mild issues are classified as disorders now, while a few decades ago they were not. Thousands of people have been diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome, for example, which wasn’t a diagnosis before 1994.
